Joshua Henry, Amber Iman & Other Cast Members Shuffle Down Memory Lane

They’ll remember syncopation.

rn

They’ll remember them stomping feet.

rnWell here at Broadway Black, we’ll make sure you remember more than that. Listening to “They Won’t Remember You” has taken on a new meaning in the last week of Shuffle Along on Broadway. As previously reported, Shuffle Along, Or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed has set its official final performance for Sunday, July 24th. It’s safe to say, we’ve got those “Broadway Blues.”rn

You may threaten us with invisibility or insignificance.

rnLuckily, this time around, we’ve got the technology to make sure this important and historic show is documented and remembered.rnrnJoshua Henry, Amber Iman  and other Shuffle cast members took to the Internet to let us into their experience while in the show.rn

One of my fav shots from our last @shufflealongbroadway lab when we spent a week at the Belasco Theatre. This has been one of the best experiences of my career/life and I cannot express enough, the gratitude I have for this incredible cast and creative team. Cheers to our last week of shows! I’m so thankful for this journey and the beautiful work that it produced. I’ll be posting some of my fav moments from this process all week long. #shufflealongbroadway #final8 📷: Devin Alberta

rnrnEasily one of my favorite moments from @shufflealongbroadway tech days! This is what happens when you gather a bunch of black performers/musicians, and Brooks. 😁 Passing time in a 12-hr day with some casual slaying of Earth Wind and Fire’s “Fantasy.” Enjoy this gem! P.S. Ignore my pitchy singing, I was excited! Lol #aliciawhyyoustandingstillrnrnA video posted by Pamela Yasutake (@pamelayasutake) on Jul 20, 2016 at 9:59am PDTrn
