The Voice Finalist India Carney Stars In Held Momentarily

2015 The Voice finalist India Carney won’t forget where she came from. She will return to a role she created last summer, before her recent television success came into her life. Working with friends from LaGuardia School for the Performing Arts (the FAME school), who wrote the show and perform alongside her, she will star in a new musical titled Held Momentarily. Directed by her former Drama teacher, Harry Shifman, Held Momentarily recently added an additional performance and will play the New York Musical Theater Festival from July 20 to 27th.

Something’s up down below.

Trapped on a stalled subway car, six strangers discover it’s not just the train that’s stuck. A poignant musical comedy about making connections, living in the moment, and moving on in life. Oh, and one more thing: a woman just went into labor.

The complete cast of the show features Jordan Barrow, Ciaran Bowling, India Carney, Oliver Houser, Yael Rizowy, Geena Quintos and James Zebooker.India Carney

While on “The Voice,” the Los Angeles Times praised Carney’s “usual lush, open-throated tone and polished, passionate, open-armed performance.” In addition to her TV appearances, Carney has also opened for The Roots, performed at Yankee Stadium and was a featured soloist at the Harlem Arts Festival.
