Off-Book is a fresh & new theatre podcast that is made with black theatre artists’ interests & issues in mind. Hosted by a theatre journalist, an actress, & a playwright, its bound to be an interesting journey.

Donja R. Love is a Philadelphia born and raised playwright and filmmaker. He’s the co-founder and creator of Ademide Theatre Ensemble and The Each-Other Project. His work includes: The Dead N—- Poem, Modern Day Black Gay, and I Hate New York. He resides in Brooklyn, NY and teaches playwriting through a number of organizations and theaters. Amber Iman from an early age was active in the arts. She attended Howard University and graduated magna cum laude, with a BFA in Musical Theatre  Amber made her Broadway debut as the High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone, in “Soul Doctor”, earning rave reviews.Amber returns to Broadway in the spring in “Shuffle Along, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed.” Off-Broadway, she played “Mrs. Jefferson/Seasons of Love Soloist” in RENT (New World Stages), and “Hannah” in “A Civil War Christmas” (NY Theatre Workshop). Andrew Shade

Andrew Shade has nothing but a burning passion that lies in the arts. Originally from Fort Wayne, IN, he is currently residing in the heart of Harlem (NYC) helping to lead the way to build a more diverse and knowledgeable audience in the theatre world. He is the Founder & Editorial Director of Broadway Black, a digital platform dedicated to highlighting the achievements and successes of African-Americans theatre artists on and off the Broadway stage.
