Concert Night

Mykal Kilgore At 54 Below Tonight

We’ve raved about this young man for some time. The first ever featured vocalist here at BroadwayBlack, long before he was bringing down the house in Motown: The Musical eight times a week, Mykal Kilgore will take the stage tonight at 54 Below. This is definitely something you don’t want to miss if you can help it. Most of the tickets are pretty much sold out but there are still a couple left. You can find them at 54Below. But hurry!

Mykal 54

Currently starring in the hit Broadway musical Motown, acclaimed singing-actor Mykal Kilgore makes his 54 Below solo concert debut that will explore his life as an artist, why music is important to him, and show off his eclectic taste in music ranging from gospel to jazz to soul to contemporary musical theatre.

Known for his powerhouse vocals and impeccable acting chops, this once-in-a-generation talent has also graced the stages of the Great White Way in Hair and in the First National Tour of The Book of Mormon.

For Mykal, music has a great deal of strength in it. Hearts change. Guards drop. Strangers connect. Nations unite.

The roof of 54 Below may need some repairs the day after this one-night-only event because it will certainly be blown off once Mykal takes his final bows.

Kilgore has a voice that sounds like the lovechild of Billy Porter and Whitney Houston. Don’t belive it? Listen for yourself and tell us if we’re lying down in the comments below.
