They’ll remember syncopation.

They’ll remember them stomping feet.

Well here at Broadway Black, we’ll make sure you remember more than that. Listening to “They Won’t Remember You” has taken on a new meaning in the last week of Shuffle Along on Broadway. As previously reported, Shuffle Along, Or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed has set its official final performance for Sunday, July 24th. It’s safe to say, we’ve got those “Broadway Blues.”

You may threaten us with invisibility or insignificance.

Luckily, this time around, we’ve got the technology to make sure this important and historic show is documented and remembered.

Joshua Henry, Amber Iman  and other Shuffle cast members took to the Internet to let us into their experience while in the show.

Only one week left. #shufflealongbroadway #jazzjasmines

But nothing.
Nothing can ever take away the pride, the joy we felt and continue to feel, because of what we made together.

Eubie Blake.
Noble Sissle.
Aubrey Lyles.
F.E. Miller.

Shuffle Along, we will remember you.

Shuffle Along stars Tony Award winners Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Billy Porter. The cast of 34 is rounded out by Tony Award nominees Joshua Henry, Brandon Victor Dixon and Adrienne Warren, and features Broadway Black’s Off-Book The Theatre Podcast host, Amber Iman. It was also nominated for several Tonys including Best Musical and also earned George C. Wolfe a Tony nomination for Best Book and Best Direction of a Musical, Ann Roth for Best Costume Design, Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhower for Best Lighting Design, Daryl Waters for Best Orchestration and Savion Glover for Best Choreography.

Our ear is still to the ground trying to find out about a cast recording. Stay tuned for updates!

Be sure to get your ticket to this essential Broadway Black show before they take their final bow!
