It was such a pleasant surprise for the Tony Awards when the Queen of Broadway, 5 time Tony winner, Audra McDonald joined the host Neil Patrick Harris to close out the show. Harris and McDonald created a Broadway version of Jay-Z’s song “Empire State of Mind”. Audra sounded great and Harris… well, he tried. It was very entertaining and a creative way to end the show. He even slides in a joke that Audra has so many Tonys she can host her own show! Which is true. Check it out!
